This online PMT calculator works exactly like the PMT function that comes with MS Excel spreadsheet program. This online calculator accepts the same number of arguments as the PMT function in MS Excel does. The arguments you provide include the RATE of interest, the NPER or number of periods that may be years, quarters, months, weeks or days, and PV the present value of investment and the FV or the future value. Here you can also select the TYPE of payment such as END OF PERIOD or START of period. The online PMT calculator will help find periodic payment of an ordinary annuity or annuity due just as the PMT function does in MS Excel. Follow the steps outlined below to see how you may find periodic where you deposit $5000 in a bank account followed by one annual payment at an interst rate of 30% that has a future value of $7500.
